3. Scope of Services

Sapper Surveys provides professional land surveying services including, but not limited to:

  • Topographic Surveys

  • Engineering Surveys

  • Measured Building Surveys

  • GPS Surveys

  • Survey data preparation and reporting

Services are provided based on client instructions, site conditions and agreed project specifications.

4. Quotations and Estimates

All quotations and estimates provided by Sapper Surveys are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Quotations are based on the information supplied by the client and visible site conditions. Sapper Surveys reserves the right to revise quotations where additional work becomes necessary due to unforeseen site conditions, changes in project scope or inaccurate information supplied by the client.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate project information

  • Ensuring safe and suitable access to survey sites

  • Obtaining necessary permissions for site access

  • Identifying known hazards or restrictions

  • Providing information relating to underground services where available

Delays caused by lack of access or incomplete information may result in additional charges.

6. Delivery of Survey Information

Survey drawings, reports and data will be supplied in agreed formats where reasonably practicable. Deliverables may be provided electronically or in hard copy format.

Survey data is prepared for the specific purpose agreed with the client and must not be relied upon for alternative purposes without written consent from Sapper Surveys.

7. Use of Survey Data

Survey data, drawings, reports and associated materials remain the intellectual property of Sapper Surveys unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients are granted a licence to use survey information solely for the agreed project. Survey data must not be reproduced, transferred, or relied upon by third parties without prior written permission.

8. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined within individual quotations or project agreements. Sapper Surveys reserves the right to request deposits, stage payments or full payment upon completion, depending on project scope.

Late payments may result in suspension of services and may incur statutory interest in accordance with applicable legislation.

9. Cancellation and Postponement

Clients may cancel or postpone surveys by providing reasonable notice. Sapper Surveys reserves the right to charge for work already undertaken, site attendance, or administrative costs incurred prior to cancellation.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sapper Surveys maintains appropriate professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Survey information is based on conditions visible or accessible at the time of survey

  • Sapper Surveys shall not be liable for losses arising from undisclosed site conditions or third-party interference

  • Liability for any claim shall be limited to the value of the fees paid for the services provided

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
